Social Fabric™ is a hand-grown organic cotton (or a hand-dyed organic indigo) from Guatemala that uses a highly reflective fiber from a single factory in the United States and assures the weaver a fair, livable wage. How? The reflective fiber acts as a form of currency; it cannot be counterfeited.
Goods of Conscience seeks to create and sell well-designed and well-made garments that benefit skilled workers in impoverished communities - both in Guatemala and New York City - to enhance the spirit of worker and wearer alike. More than giving, the "cycle of charity" is a way of life.
The poor want more than what is given to them on an outstretched hand; they want the dignity of knowing that who they are and what they do is exemplary. Goods of Conscience is a line of clothing with a mission, created by a young Catholic priest in New York to help the poor in Guatemala and New York in a way they want to be helped.
Combining modern design and technology with the age-old knowledge of the Mayan weaver and rare cotton strains that grow in vibrant green and a rich brown - some with natural dyes of indigo and black - civilized garments give back while they give the goods of conscience to the one who wears them. Choose to wear Social Fabric™!
