Vespers Candlemas 2010

Illumination of façade shows the cosmology of the Church.  Wearing the clothing which is then projected over the illumination shows the global relationships we share.  It helps us feel solidarity with the Mayan as well as a unique binding of our “social fabric” at a sacred place and a sacred time.  Jesus is presented in the temple.  He is the true sacrifice of the temple.  The potential of the child is underlined, the fragility of the candle points to the brevity of life but also the power of faith that appears powerless.
